Hulu adds Chromecast support to Hulu Plus Android app

Popular video streaming service Hulu has added Chromecast support to its official Hulu Plus app on Android. This is the third major streaming service provider to add Chromecast support, after Netflix and YouTube, both of which are supporting Chromecast since the launch.

While Chromecast is still missing local media playback support, support for Hulu Plus should give Chromecast users something to rejoice.

“Now you can easily enjoy your favorite shows, such as “Modern Family,” “New Girl” and “Parks and Recreation,” on your big-screen TV by casting from Hulu Plus on your mobile phone or tablet. It’s the same intuitive, remote-free experience you’ve come to enjoy with the other Chromecast-supported apps, and is as simple as pressing the Cast button which will now appear in the app,” Google noted in a blog post.

To remind you, Chromecast is currently available in the United States for $35. It can be grabbed from Amazon, Google Play, or Best Buy.
