The company did not share the exact details of the next roll-out but stated that its engineers are working round-the-clock to get the issues fixed and release the app.
“Our teams continue to work around the clock to bring BBM to Android and iPhone, but only when it’s ready and we know it will live up to your expectations of BBM. We are pausing the global roll-out of BBM for Android and iPhone. Customers who have already downloaded BBM for iPhone will be able to continue to use BBM. The unreleased Android app will be disabled, and customers who downloaded it should visit http://www.BBM.com to register for updates on official BBM for Android availability,” BlackBerry noted in its official blog.
As soon as the app is live in Google Play, we will let you guys know.
PS: Stay away from the fake BBM apps present in the Google and there are plenty. Here is how you can identify the real app: Look for proper app screenshots, logo or description. The developer name will most probably be BlackBerry Limited not BlackBerry Inc or something. If you are searching for the app in web-based Google Play, you can also check the URL for the package name, which ideally will not have weird names or numbers.

Well I don’t know about the app, but MMX are already showcasing ad commercials on it! Nice Job MMX, but was Epic Fail!
