Apple iPhone 5c vs Samsung Galaxy S3 and Nexus 4

Advertisements

As expected, Apple unveiled its new iPhones yesterday at a press event. While iPhone 5s is meant for consumers who want to have a flagship device, iPhone 5c is being targeted to consumers who want a slightly more affordable phone (it is not really that affordable) and have no issues with a polycarbonate body.

Unless you are someone who just wants an iPhone, there are plenty of Android smartphones in the Indian market, which offer similar or even better performance for a price-tag less than that of iPhone 5c.

Apple might not have officially announced the India price of iPhone 5c but the unlocked iPhone 5c price in US gives a pretty good idea of it. Unlocked iPhone 5c is going to retail for $549 (16GB) in the United States, which at the current exchange rate means around INR 35,000 and then there is other stuff like duties and all. So, for the very least iPhone 5c will get a price-tag more than INR 35,000 in the country (more like INR 36,999 or 37,999).

Why spend more than INR 35K, when you can get Samsung’s Galaxy S3 for around INR 27,000 or Google Nexus 4 around INR 26,500. Both of these smartphones are known great performers and you can get them for INR 8K less than iPhone 5c’s expected price.

In this post, we will give you an idea of how these phones stack up against each other on the specs front. So, let’s get to it.
