XOLO has announced that it is rolling out a software update for XOLO Play smartphone. The update is now available over-the-air and can be triggered by going to Settings << About Phone << System Updates.
The update is also available as a manual download from the company site and then can be applied using the embedded later in the post.
XOLO has not provided any change-log for this update and just notes that this update will improve the performance of this Tegra 3 smartphone. XOLO Play T1000 currently runs on Android 4.1.1 and it is unclear whether the new update bumps the Android version in the smartphone or not. Originally launched last month, XOLO Play comes with 4.7-inch IPS display with 720p resolution, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. The phone also features with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and 2000 mAh battery.

Hi,
I faced hanging problems in XOLO Play T1000. Live Wallpaper, HD Videos, Games etc.. hanged several times in a minute. Might be a “BUG”. Resolved by this update.

Agreed. The phone had lag problems while playing videos especially on youtube and also while playing games. The issue is resolved after applying the update
This update does not change the OS version . Its still 4.1.1 and my device restart problem has been fixed I’m happy for that 😀
hey i download 12mb ota update then after switch of the prosecc started then around 20% my phone showed an exclamatory mark and just restarted.i m not able to update OTA.plz help here

thats because the memoory card u have has excessive date !! try putting in a empty memory card for this purpose
Fucking play… didnt updated to 4.2, it cant transfer apps to SD Card n game also… not worth for this gaming device… if u hv short of memory…
Bro just goto settings in storage option set sd card as primary memory…..then u can move apps to the card… 🙂
Well when I updated the first update package….after that phone use to stuck for some milliseconds …..it was irritating while watching videos as well as playing games….for that I’d tried every measures but didn’t succeeded …..but after the second update that prob got solved…. 🙂
