Samsung has announced that its Galaxy NX smart camera will be available in the United States beginning October for $1599.99 (body only) or $1699.99 (with 18-55mm lens).  According to a press release issued by the company, the camera packs 4G LTE and Wi-Fi connectivity.

“The Galaxy NX camera represents the pinnacle of technology convergence in our 2013 SMART camera line, successfully marrying the benefits of our Galaxy Camera with the imaging prowess of the award-winning NX interchangeable lens SMART cameras,” said Ron Gazzola, Vice President of Marketing for Digital Imaging.

To remind you, Samsung Galaxy NX runs on Android 4.2.2 and comes with two processors – Samsung’s DRIMeIV Image processor for imaging and quad-core 1.6GHz CPU for the system operations.  It is compatible with all 13 lenses currently available for NX series.

“The Galaxy NX’s 20.3MP APS-C Sensor produces images that are bright and detailed, even in low light conditions and its Advanced Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) System ensures accurate phase and contrast detection for crisp, vibrant shots,” the company noted in a press release.
