Google Keep updated with time and location-based reminders

In addition to Google Now update, Google has also released a major update for Keep note-taking app on Android. The updated Keep is also available via web and Chrome apps.

The new version of Google Keep brings a much needed feature – time and location-based reminders. You can now tell Keep to remind you for some task based on your location or at a specific time.

“Google Keep can remind you of important tasks and errands at just the right time and place. For example, Keep works with Google Now to remind you of your grocery list when you walk into your favorite grocery store, and nudges you on Thursday night to take out the trash,” Erin Rosenthal, Product Manager at Google noted in a blog post.

If your plans change, you can always snooze these reminders for another time or place. This is not all. Google has also included a new navigation drawer in the Keep Android app. This drawer gives you a quick way to view all of your upcoming reminders in one place or check all notes or even quickly switch accounts.

Google has also improved the photo integration in Keep notes, add picture option will now allow you to take a new picture or add an existing photo from Gallery.

The update Google Keep app is being rolled-out gradually, so it might take some time to reach your phone or tablet.

Here is the Google Play link, if you don’t already have Keep.
