Motorola’s new Droid line-up to be unveiled on July 23 in US

Motorola along with US telecom operator Verizon is expected to launch the new Droid smartphones on July23 at a press event in New York City. The telco on Tuesday started sending out invites for this event to the tech press in US.

The invite while does not clearly mention Droid line-up but says that they will “unveil the next generation of one of most popular family of devices,” clearly indicating at Droid line-up.

As per the leaks, the companies will show three new Droid smartphones – Droid Ultra, Droid Mini and Droid Max, which will be succeeding the currently available Droid RAZR M, Droid RAZR and DROID RAZR Maxx smartphones.

The specifications of the phones are still a mystery but the phones are said to be sporting Kevlar casings and will be available in multiple colours.

Press renders of the devices have already been leaked in the wild (the main image of the report). There is still no word on the release of Moto X smartphone, which will also be arriving on Verizon but not under the Droid line-up.
