Samsung’s Android phablet Galaxy Mega 6.3 is finally on sale in the country. The device can now be purchased from Flipkart and Snapdeal for INR 30,990. It is important to note here that the device is being sold by third-party sellers at these e-retailers.To remind you, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 features 6.3-inch Super Clear LCD with 1280x720p resolution, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.2, 3200 mAh battery, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The device will be competing with Huawei’s Ascend Mate smartphone, which was launched on June 18, and is currently being sold for INR 24,900. On-paper, Ascend Mate surely wins over Mega 6.3, thanks to an incredible pricing and better specifications. The only downside with Ascend Mate is the comparably little awareness about Huawei brand in India.  Samsung spends crores of rupees every year on advertising and its Galaxy smartphones are widely recognized and that will go in favour of Mega 6.3.

In related news, Samsung is holding a press event in London today to unveil new devices including the rumoured Galaxy NX smart camera with Android.
