HTC to introduce seven-inch Android tablet this year: Report

Advertisements

HTC seems to be planning to get back in the tablet market with the release of a seven-inch Android tablet this year, reports Bloomberg. The tablet is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor but the exact model is unclear.

Bloomberg report is pretty scarce in terms of the details about this tablet, as it mostly talks about the company’s Windows RT tablet plans.

HTC, which has only released two Android tablets till date – Flyer and Jetstream, might finally be seeing incentive in releasing Android tablets. The budget seven-inch Android tablet market has become huge in the last one and half years. So, it would be interesting to see whether HTC goes for a high-end tablet or stick with budget tablet segment like other companies.

HTC One blue version rumoured

In related news, Pocket Lint is reporting that HTC might be planning to launch a Blue version of its flagship HTC One smartphone.  The Blue version will join the already leaked and rumoured Red colour alongside existing silver and black options.

There is no word on the exact release date but it is most likely to happen in the coming weeks as HTC gets the supply issues sorted out.
