Five million HTC One units sold since launch: HTC exec

Advertisements

HTC might not have officially announced the unit shipments or sales of its flagship HTC One smartphone, but as per a report on WSJ, the company has already sold around 5 million units.

An unnamed HTC executive told Wall Street Journal that HTC One orders have been good so far but the company is struggling with the supplies.

“Orders are pretty good so far and are still more than what we can supply. This is partly due to the shortage of components. When the issue is resolved next month, we will have a better idea if it’s doing really well or not,” he told the publication.

This might be an impressive figure in its own right but it falls short of Samsung’s Galaxy S4 shipments, which have already crossed 10 million units.

As per the recent reports, HTC has seen a string of high-profile executive departures from the company. As many as seven top executives from the company head office as well as North America and Asia have department in the last few weeks.
