According to a report in The Verge, in the last three months, HTC has lost VP global communications Jason Gordon, global retail marketing manager Rebecca Rowland, director of digital marketing John Starkweather, and product strategy manager Eric Lin.
The dire states of affairs seem to be the reason behind these departures and even the company executives see that HTC’s future looks bleak. This tweet from Eric Lin hints in the same direction.
To all my friends still at @htc – just quit. leave now. it’s tough to do, but you’ll be so much happier, I swear.

According to The Verge, several sources have pointed the finger towards HTC CEO Peter Chou as being the problem. He apparently is making hasty decisions, which aren’t helping the company. He was also reportedly told by the HTC staff about the probably HTC One component supply issues months before the launch of the phone, but he still went ahead with the release.
The next few months would be very important for the company and will decide the company’s future. We might even see Peter Chou leaving the company if HTC One fails to make a mark in the company financials.
Update:
HTC Asia CEO Lennard Hoornik leaves the company as well
HTC executives are departing from the company like anything. Now, CNET is reporting that HTC Asia CEO Lennard Hoornik has also left the company. HTC CFO Chang Chia Lin will acting as the Asia CEO until the company finds someone to replace Hoornik.
Update 2:
One more top executive leaving company this week
Engadget has learnt from its sources that HTC’s Head of Global Digital Service Elizabeth Griffin will also be leaving the company this week to join Nintendo.
At this rate, how long is HTC going to last?
