The rumoured Sony Xperia A is official, at least in Japan. The Japanese telecom operator NTT Docomo today took the wraps off this Sony smartphone as a part of the telco’s summer line-up. It will go on sale beginning May 17 in the country, which is just two days from now.
There is no word right now on the global availability, but we expect to hear something very soon from the company.
Sony Xperia A features a 4.6-inch 720p HD display and is powered by 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor. The phone also comes with Android 4.1, 2,300 mAh battery and LTE support. Xperia A is also water and dust proof and packs 13MP rear and 0.3MP front cameras. It also sports a dedicated camera button to help you click images even faster along with ability to simultaneously shoot videos and click images.
The phone will be sold in four colours in the country – Black, White, Pink ad Mint.
