LG seems to be planning to re-enter the tablet market, which the company has been avoiding since 2011 when it launched Optimus Pad and Optimus Pad LTE. According to reports in Korean media, LG might launch a tablet in the second half of 2013 (probably in Q3).

There are no details about this tablet right now, but we can expect to run on Android – may be 5.0 given the LG’s involvement in Nexus 4 successor.

LG unveiled its first Android tablet at Mobile World Congress 2011 with Android 3.0 Honeycomb but the tablet was unsuccessful because of the hefty price-tag. We hope that LG has learnt something from the past experience.

In related news, an alleged image of the LG’s rumoured Optimus G2 smartphone has appeared online. There is no confirmation on the identity of the phone in the image, but most likely the phone is Optimus G2.
