Sony working on Xperia C190x budget smartphone [Rumour]

Sony is reportedly working on another Android smartphone for launch this year. Carrying the model number C190x, the smartphone is probably a low cost smartphone, claims Blog of Mobile (In Japanese).

Not many details are known at this point, but according to the site, the phone will be released as C1904 in North America and as C1905 in international markets.  There seems to be only 3G or HSPA connectivity on-board and there is no LTE support.

Other rumours suggest that this might be the rumoured 5-inch budget phablet from Sony, which is reportedly coming with a quad-core MediaTek processor at core.  The phone is expected to be launched in third-quarter of 2013.

Sony has already released four Android phones this year including flagship Sony Xperia Z and ZL along with mid-range Xperia SP and L. The company seems to be going the Samsung route to provide smartphones in every possible size and price segment. We have already heard quite many leaked or rumoured Sony phones this year, which are yet to become official – Sony Xperia ZR, Sony Honami (1), Sony Xperia A and Sony Xperia UL.
