The speculations suggest that Samsung might give an INR 43,490 maximum retail price (MRP) tag to Galaxy S4, there is no confirmation right now. The street price in any case is going to be less.
Samsung Galaxy S4, which is going to succeed Galaxy S3, was originally showcased at a company event in New York in March. The phone is a big upgrade over Galaxy S III, but still keeps the design, which apart from a few tweaks is almost the same. What is more interesting that Samsung has been able to keep the same dimensions (in fact they are a bit smaller) as Galaxy S III in Galaxy S4 and still pack a bigger display and bigger battery.
Samsung Galaxy S 4 runs on Android 4.2.2, which is the latest Android version, but the company has loaded its custom skin Touchwiz with plethora of software customisations over Jelly Bean.
There is still no word on which processor is going to power the Indian variant of Galaxy S4. Samsung is releasing two variants – one with Exynos 5 Octa processor and other with Snapdragon 600. South Korea is going to be the first country, where Exynos 5 Octa powered Galaxy S4 is going on sale today, rest everywhere we have heard about Snapdragon 600 powered units, so probably India will also get the same.
Other features of Galaxy S4 include 2GB of RAM, 16/ 32/ 64GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 13-megapixel rear camera, front camera and the usual connectivity options.
