T-Mobile’s new smartphone price-plans no longer need consumers to get tied up in two-year contracts, but now they will be able to buy the smartphone by paying just $99 upfront or the full price. The consumers, who opt for $99 upfront payments, will then pay the rest of the amount in $20 installments for 24 months. The good part is that you can cancel the payment plans anytime by paying the remaining amount from the smartphone price.
T-Mobile confirmed the release date for Galaxy S 4, which will go on sale via all T-Mobile channels on May 1; however the telecom operator was no so specific about HTC One, which is expected given the delays. T-Mobile CEO Legere just said that HTC One will be available ‘soon’.
With both HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S 4 in its portfolio, T-Mobile seems to be having a great start in the new direction of contract-less world.
