Samsung has revealed that it will be releasing the Galaxy S 4 smartphone initially in three countries by the end of April, followed by broader release in 150 countries by early-May. This further cements our earlier report about early-May India launch of Galaxy S 4.

“Samsung will first sell the phone initially in three countries by end- April and reach 155 nations by early May,” Chenny Kim, Samsung spokeswoman told Bloomberg. She also noted that the phone will be manufactured in factories at South Korea, Vietnam and China.

The first three countries are likely to include Samsung’s home turf South Korea, UK and US, both of which are already confirmed to be getting the phone on April 26. Surprisingly, another Bloomberg report also notes that Hong Kong might also be lucky to get the phone on April 26.

Some analysts estimate that Samsung may ship about 44 million of Galaxy S 4 units in the second and third quarters of this year, which will be a big improvement over Galaxy S III. Others put the total Galaxy S 4 sales to 60 million for entire 2013.

In related news, Samsung might unveil its first Tizen based smartphone around August or September.

“The Tizen phone will be out in August or September, and this will be in the high-end category,” Lee Young Hee, executive vice president of Samsung’s mobile business, told Bloomberg in Seoul. “The device will be the best product equipped with the best specifications.”
