LG Optimus LTE III leaked ahead of South Korea debut

A new LG Android smartphone has been spied in South Korea. Part of the Korean manufacturer’s Optimus LTE range, the phone would be dubbed as Optimus LTE III. As per the accompanying information, the phone will come with 720p display of unknown size and dual-core processor.

The Optimus LTE III is also said to be running on Android 4.1.2 and comes with a 2540 mAh battery.

If this info is indeed correct, then we don’t see any major changes apart from the presence of Jelly Bean and a bigger battery. The last gen Optimus LTE phone too had a 720p display and dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, so unless LG is going to introduce some magic technology with Optimus LTE III, we don’t see the point.

Looking at the images, the smartphone seems very similar LG Optimus F7, which was introduced ahead of MWC recently.

The phone is said to be launching on SK Telecom in Korea as LG F260S. There is no word on the release elsewhere; however we won’t be surprised shows up stateside.
