Ubuntu for tablets official; preview for Nexus 7, 10 coming tomorrow

Canonical wasn’t satisfied with just Ubuntu for smartphones, so it has now announced Ubuntu for tablets as well. Company has also revealed that it will be releasing dev preview builds of Ubuntu for tablets for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tomorrow along with Ubuntu for smartphones dev preview builds.

According to Canonical, Ubuntu for tablets can be applied on any device with screen size ranging from 6-inch to 20-inch. It is targeting both home consumers and enterprise market with the tablet version.

Ubuntu-based smartphones and tablets are expected to debut in Q1, 2014, while the software part should be ready by October, 2013.
