According to a press release issued by the company today, HTC One will be released in India via Reliance Communications. The launch is expected around March-end although there is no confirmation on the exact date right now.
Here is the list of telecom operators in Asia-Pacific that will be releasing the HTC One.
Asia-Pacific: China Mobile Hong Kong Company Ltd., ChungHwa Telecom, 3HK, CSL, Fareastone, M1, Mobifone, Optus, PCCW mobile, Reliance Communications, Singapore Telecommunications Ltd., SmarTone, StarHub, Taiwan Mobile, Telecom New Zealand, Telstra, Vodafone Australia, Vodafone New Zealand.
This does not mean that we will be getting a SIM-locked HTC One smartphone in the country. HTC is likely to partner with Reliance to provide data and other benefits to the One buyers, but the smartphone is expected to be SIM-unlocked for usage on other networks.
To remind you, HTC One features a 4.7-inch 1080p Super LCD 3 display with Gorilla Glass 2, 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage and HSPA+ connectivity.
The phone also packs a 4MP camera with Ultrapixel sensor, front camera and 2300 mAh battery.
