Advertisements

Indian manufacturer Videocon recently announced the launch of new VT 71 Android tablet. Priced at INR 4,799, it certainly seems like a value-for-money product on-paper, but how are the other tablets in the same budget; can we try and find something better without paying more than INR 5,000?

Well, we found two tablets under INR 5K, which can be considered the competitors to Videocon VT 71 – Micromax Funbook Infinity and BSNL Penta IS701C.

Let us take a look at all three and figure out the pros and cons of each tablet.

Videocon VT 71

  • Pros: Android 4.0, 3G connectivity via dongle, and free accessories like HDMI cable, USB OTG cable
  • Cons: No rear camera

Micromax Funbook Infinity

  • Pros: Android 4.0, 4000 mAh battery, 3G connectivity via dongle, 2MP rear camera
  • Cons: only supports Tata Photon USB dongle

BSNL Penta IS701C

  • Pros: Android 4.0, 3G connectivity via dongle
  • Cons: Just 3000 mAh battery

As you can see, Micromax Funbook Infinity has some positives over the others like rear camera and 4000 mAh battery, but on the downside, it only support Tata Photon data card.

Given the pricing and free accessories, Videocon VT 71 certainly seems like the most balanced tablet, but if you want rear camera or 4000 mAh battery, you will be happier with Funbook Infinity.
