“Some places will have a special promotion for $99 but most of the channels will have it for $129 to $149,” Acer President Jim Wong explained during an interview with ABC News Sunday at CES 2013.
The Acer Iconia B1will be available in Asia and South America first but Acer is yet to reveal which of these markets in the two continents will be lucky to get the tablet at such a low price.
Packing Jelly Bean, the tablet comes with 7-inch 1024x600p display, 1.2GHz dual-core MediaTek processor, 512MB RAM, front camera, Wi-Fi, and 8GB of internal storage.
India Availability & Pricing?
We have already heard reports that Acer is going to launch the tablet in late-January in the country at a price-tag of INR 7,999. These reports line up perfectly with today’s announcement, however we still have to wait for the official India launch to know more.
