Sony Xperia Yuga previewed; packs Qualcomm quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM

Russian blog Mobile –Review, which had got its hands on a prototype Sony Xperia Yuga, has now posted a detailed preview of the smartphone. According to the blog, the smartphone features 5-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 pro processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

The smartphone is targeted to compete with the likes of HTC Droid DNA, and LG Optimus G and will be announced at CES 2013. The phone also packs Micro SIM, Micro HDMI, Micro USB, and microSD.

On the imaging front, there is 12MP rear camera, and front camera. The phone also uses on-screen navigation unlike capacitive keys used in other Sony Android smartphones.

There is still no word on market availability of the phone, which is expected to reach the stores as early as Late-January or February otherwise it will have already lost the battle.
