Amazon Phone being built by Foxconn, coming in Q2, 2013: Report

Amazon Phone is back in news and this time a report coming out of Taiwan is suggesting that Amazon Phone is being built by Foxconn, which also makes iPhone, iPad for Apple.  According to Taiwan Economic News, the smartphone is expected to be launched in Q2/Q3 of the next year.

The publication claims that the smartphone price will be $100-$200 and Foxconn will reportedly ship 5 million units of the phone in the year.

The report also adds that Amazon is also working on a new version of Kindle Fire, which will be released around the same time as Amazon Phone and is being supplied by Quanta Computer and Compal Electronics.

Amazon Phone or Kindle Phone has regularly appeared in news, but there is hardly any concrete information about the device, which is likely to run on custom version of Android.
