Spice has officially released the Ice Cream Sandwich update for Spice Stellar Mi-425 Android smartphone this week. Company confirmed regarding the same on its official Facebook page.

But, there is a downside, the update is neither available OTA or via any update software and owners will have to visit Spice Mobiles service centres to get their Mi-425 update to Android 4.0 from Android 2.3.6.

The smartphone was originally announced in June with Gingerbread on-board. It features 1GHz Snapdragon processor by Qualcomm, 5MP camera, 4-inch capacitive touch display and 2000 mAh Lithium ion battery. It has been priced at INR 9,500.

According to the company, ICS update brings enhanced UI, better battery management and several other cool features to the phone.
