Amazon has expanded its Android Appstore by launching in 5 new countries across Europe. UK, Germany, Italy, France and Spain can now access a wide range of Android apps for their smartphones and tablets.
The Appstore will be content and region specific to each country and users can access apps ranging from popular games like Angry Birds and Cut the Rope to local favourites like “Jamie Oliver’s 20 Minute Meals”, highly popular in the UK.
The Amazon App Store offers users interesting and attractive offers for an engaging and joyful app experience. They have a Free App of the Day program that features a paid app for free each day. Other features include personalized recommendations, Customer Reviews and 1-Click payments for a hassle-free experience.

Speaking on the occasion, Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio Mighty Eagle and CMO said, “Amazon’s Free App of the Day program is really unique. Over the past year we have offered Amazon customers some of our best-selling premium games like “Angry Birds Rio” and “Angry Birds Seasons” for free, and the response has been truly overwhelming. We are pleased to offer Amazon customers another one of our most popular premium titles, “Angry Birds,” for free today.”

The company recently sent out invites for a press conference to be held on September 6 in Los Angeles, which has sparked off rumours hinting at next-gen devices from the tablet manufacturer.
