After Spice, now Micromax is planning to launch a budget 5-inch smartphone in the country. According to product listing that was spotted on Homeshop18, the smartphone will be dubbed as A100 and it will be priced at INR 9,999.
The pricing is lower than INR 11,999 at which Spice has launched its Stellar Horizon, but there are still some gaps in Micromax A100 specs, which might explain why the A100 is cheaper than Horizon.
The A100 reportedly feature a WVGA 5-inch display, 5MP rear camera, dual-SIM support, and 2000 mAh battery. This phablet also comes with 4GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot to expand memory.
There is no word on processor or RAM inside the device, however we do know that it runs on Android 4.0, which is big positive for the manufacturer, as it is yet to announce an ICS smartphone.
There is no word on the exact launch date, however company is planning to soon launch A84, which was last seen last week with Gingerbread and 1GHz processor on-board at INR 9,999 price-tag. We expect that this launch might also be the debut spot for A100.
