Samsung GALAXY Tab 2 7.0 does its dance for the FCC

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 has passed through the FCC and should be released in the UK later this month, according to Engadget. While the tablet has not been officially announced by any US carriers, the device is said to pack radios compatible with AT&T’s 3G service, so it could end up on American soil sooner or later as well.

Samsung’s third 7-inch offering in under a year, the GALAXY Tab 2 7.0 is expected to ship with Ice Cream Sandwich. While the FCC document doesn’t specify any exact specs, Electronista reports that the tablet will come with a 1024×600 LCD display, 1 GHz processor, 3-megapixel camera and VGA front-facing camera.

If you’d like to look over the FCC documents for yourself, I’ve included a link at the bottom of this post. We’ll be sure to let you know when this little bugger hits retail shelves, which is expected to be later this month. For now, we’ll just have to wait with the rest of the world to see if Samsung brought its “A-game” to the table with the follow up to the original GALAXY Tab — still a widely respected tablet in the Android community.

What do you think? Does the G-Tab 2 7.0 look like one you’ll be picking up? Be sure to drop us a comment in the thread below.
