Install Mozilla Boot To Gecko on Samsung Galaxy S II [How To]

If you were left impressed by the recently announced HTML5 based mobile OS Boot to Gecko (BTG) from Mozilla and have a Samsung Galaxy S II phone lying around. Then you can give BTG a try right now.

A pre-alpha build of the OS has popped up at XDA and is working pretty nicely.

What Works:

  • Calling
  • Wi-Fi
  • Camera
  • Audio
  • Video

What is needed: GT-i9100 Galaxy S2 (International Model)

Flash using ODIN like any TAR file. More instructions over at XDA.

This won’t brick your phone but is not meant for the faint-hearted folks.
