Asus Transformer TF101 to get Android 4.0 ICS Update this month

Asus has announced on its Google Plus page that it plans to release official Ice Cream Sandwich update for Eee Pad Transformer this month. Company has not given any exact release date but expect it any day in February.

This update will be released over-the-air, so you will automatically get a notification of update on your OG Transformer. Android 4.0 will brings several performance improvements, UI changes and security enhancements to the tablet.

Here is the exact statement from Asus:

Several of you have asked for a specific date on the ICS update for TF101. We don’t have an exact date yet, but it should be this month. Our engineers are all back from their Chinese New Year celebrations now so we will have an up to date schedule shortly. As soon as we know more, we’ll let you know on here, so stay tuned and thanks for your support!
