Sony LT22i to launch as Xperia P, ST25i as Xperia U

Thanks to the Indonesian Telecom regulator, we now know the actual branding of two of Sony’s upcoming smartphones that are expected to be officially announced at Mobile World Congress next month.

Sony LT22i aka Nypon, which is rumored to feature 4 inch qHD display, 1GHz ST-Ericsson NovaThor U8500, 8MP rear camera, is supposed to be branded as Xperia P. On the other hand, Sony ST25i aka Kumquat, which is expected to come with 1GHz dual core processor, 3.5 inch display and 5MP rear camera, will be known as Xperia U. The pricing and availability details of both the smartphones have already leaked online.

This naming scheme is in-line with Sony’s Xperia S smartphone, and tablet names S and P.
