Lenovo has announced that it will update ThinkPad and IdeaPad tablets to Ice Cream Sandwich in the next quarter, reported IDG News Service. Company has not given any exact dates for the roll-out of the update.

Lenovo ThinkPad and Ideapad tablets were launched last year in July and come with Android 3.1. The Android 4.0 update will certainly be a welcome addition to these.

Android 4.0 brings UI improvements, encryption enhancements and overall stability. Other manufacturers have already announced plans to update their tablets to ICS, while Xoom Wi-Fi and Transformer Prime were the first ones to get the update in US.
