How could LG be left behind in the quad core game, when it released the first dual core Android smartphone last year. LG’s alleged first quad core phone X3 has been leaked in the form of a press shot with details on expected specifications.

According to Pocketnow, LG X3 will feature NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor, 4.7 inch display with 1280x720p resolution, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, 16GB internal memory and Android 4.0.

It is also expected to come with NFC chip, a 2000 mAh battery and HSPA+ connectivity. X3 seems like a code-name, an Optimus series name would be more likely. We are expecting an announcement at Mobile World Congress with availability later in the first half of 2012.
