Airbnb official Android app lands in Android Market

Airbnb has released its official Android app as well as a brand-new mobile site for its users. This app has been developed from scratch and includes all the prominent features of the site like browsing, search, and booking properties.

“For our Android app, we could have just cut-and-pasted from our iPhone app. But that’s not how we roll. We realized that this was an opportunity to rethink how the app could work – from an Android point of view,” posted Vivek Wagle in a blog post.

Airbnb Android app also comes with the popular “Tonight” feature, which gives you one-click access to places for rent immediately around you right now.
