Motorola starts Xoom ICS update for select users

Advertisements

Motorola has started rolling out Xoom Android 4.0 update for select users in United States. Better known as soak test, it will allow Motorola to check for any discrepancies or major bugs in the update. If everything goes fine, all the Wi-Fi only version users in US will get this update soon.

Update roll-out started about an hour back and will be reaching around a thousand users across US. There is no word for other countries, but it should not take much time.

Xoom has become the second Android tablet to get the official ICS update, Transformer Prime recently was updated to Android 4.0.

As this is a soak test, there is no change-log available, but we expect to get one with the official release.
