Russian company launches Android powered TVs for IPTV services

Russian manufacturer NetUP has launched TV sets that won’t require any IPTV set-top boxes to access IPTV services. These televisions will come with Android-based IP STB integrated and will allow users to access the usual IPTV features along with web browsing, watching YouTube, and running normal Android apps.

Company has already started taking the pre-orders for these television sets and they come with a 1GHz SAMSUNG S5PV210 processor, 512MB RAM, 1GB internal storage and Android 2.2 on-board.

Other specifications include 1080p video playback support, USB ports, HDMI in, Ethernet ports and Wi-Fi USB adopter support.
