LG Ice Cream Sandwich updates to start in Q2, Optimus 2X, LTE, Prada phone first in line

LG has officially revealed the names of ICS upgradable smartphones along with update time-frame today. According to a company post on its official Facebook page, it will start rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich updates in Q2/Q3, 2012.

According to LG, LG Optimus 2X, Optimus LTE, Prada Phone by LG 3.0, Optimus Sol, my Touch Q and LG Eclipse will comprise of the first batch of phones getting the Android 4.0 update, followed by LG Optimus 3D, Optimus Black, Optimus Big, Optimus Q2 and Optimus EX.

Apart from these, LG is not expected to update any other smartphones to ICS.  Company will share more details closer to the update release. We hope company sticks to its update schedule, and does not give any surprises.
