Toy maker sues Asus for using Transformer Prime name

US toy maker Hasbro is suing Asus for using the Transformer Prime name for its latest quad core tablet. According to Hasbro, it violates trademarks and intellectual property.

Hasbro continues to aggressively protect its brands and products and the specific actions we are taking today against Asus underscores yet again Hasbro’s willingness to pursue companies who misappropriate our intellectual property for their own financial gain.

This lawsuit was filed last week in an LA federal court. Hasbro is demanding damages as well as injunction on the sale of Transformer Prime tablets. Company has a Transformer line of toys.
