Asus Transformer Prime getting ICS update in Jan

Asus is reportedly going to release the Android 4.0 update for its flagship Android tablet Eee Pad Transformer Prime next month.  According to Digital Versus, which the source of this news, there shouldn’t be much gap between tablet’s actual US release and the update roll-out.

Transformer Prime is already on pre-order in US and will ship with Android 3.2 on-board. We have previously seen Prime running on ICS test builds, so the actual development has been going on for quite some time and it would be fair to expect the update in January 2012.
