Amazon Kindle Fire to get another software update soon

After pushing out an update recently, Amazon is gearing up for the next round of software update for its first tablet Kindle Fire. Amazon forums are full of users frustrated with the presence of several problems in the tablet. The below-par touch experience, failed Silk browser, lack to ability the past used items list from the home-screen carousel being the most prominent issues.

According to report in New York Times today, An Amazon spokesman told the publication that company is working on a software update that will bring improvements in performance and multi-touch input along with the ability to edit the recent items from carousel.

“In less than two weeks, we’re rolling out an over-the-air update to Kindle Fire,” Drew Herdener told NYT.

The NYT report also touched on the next generation Kindle Fire part and mentioned that Amazon might release an improved version of Fire in spring.
