Android users in Spain and Italy with Vodafone connections are now able to use the direct carrier billing option in Android Market, taking the number of supported countries to seven. Android Market direct billing makes it easier for users to purchase apps by adding the purchase amount to their monthly bill rather than paying instantly by a credit card.
An updated Android Market app is already rolling out to the users.
Countries and telecom operators that support Android Market Direct Billing:
| Country | Carriers | Currency |
|---|---|---|
| Germany | TMobile, Vodafone | EUR |
| Italy | Vodafone | EUR |
| Japan | Docomo, KDDI, Softbank | JPY |
| Korea | KT, SKT | KRW |
| Spain | Vodafone | EUR |
| UK | Vodafone | GBP |
