First Galaxy Nexus sold came with ‘Report a WTF condition’ feature

Advertisements

It is not every day that we hear such stories. Apparently the first customer who bought Galaxy Nexus in UK today was greeted by a test ROM on his brand new phone. This was not all, this test ROM was filled with dev tools and some of the usual options were missing (not unexpected), along with a “Report a WTF condition” under bad behavior debugging functions.

The story did have a happy ending when customer went back and got his smartphone exchanged along with free Ice Cream Sandwiches. Not the best PR moment for Samsung UK, when they had already tweeted his picture as one happy first customer.

WTF is ” What a Terrible Failure ” i.e for Report an exception that should never happen. Similar to wtf(String, String), with an exception to log.
