Motorola has officially launched Defy+ in the Indian market. It has been priced at INR 19,000, but will be available for a best buy price of INR 17,990. As we have already reported, Defy+ has been available online for last few days and today’s announcement just made it official.

“We designed Motorola Defy+ with all the smartphone features you need for a demanding lifestyle. With faster web-browsing, social networking tools and great entertainment capabilities, it puts friends and fun in easy reach. It also offers protection with its water-resistant, scratch resistant and dust proof design.”

– Motorola Mobility’s Country Head – Sales and Operations for Mobile Devices Business Rajan Chawla

Motorola Defy+ features a 1GHz single core processor, 3.7 inch display, Android 2.3, and 5MP rear camera.  Defy+ is the successor of company’s original rugged smartphone Defy and it was launched last year in the country. Motorola has upgraded the processor, Android version, rest most of the specifications and even the look are similar to the original.

Motorola Defy+ is an apt smartphone for those looking for a decent durable Android phone with right mix of features in the not so high price.

@Abiram: Defy+ will not get the ICS. Amongst the three, the Defy+ will be the best phone albeit costlier than the other two. I have the earlier 800 Mhz version (Defy) and am very pleased with Motorola. Spend more but get a good device like Defy+.
