Acer Iconia Tab A501 lands in Canada for $199.99 with three year contract

Acer has announced the release of its 4G tablet Iconia Tab A501 in Canada today. Iconia Tab comes with the 4G network support of telecom operator Rogers Communications.  Powered by Honeycomb and nVIDIA Tegra 2 dual core processor, it was earlier launched in the United States on AT&T.

Acer Iconia Tab A501 has marked a late entrance in Canada today within partnership with Rogers and a set of retail store which will be selling the tablet in the country. According to a press release issued today, this Acer tablet is now exclusively available on WIRELESSWAVE, Tbooth wireless, and WIRELESS etc… Stores across Canada.

To give you a quick introduction about the tablet, it sports a 10.1 inch display with 1280×800 resolution, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 16GB internal storage and 3260 mAh Li-polymer batteries. In other specifications, it has an Alpine Silver brushed metal aluminum chassis and weighs just 1.7 pounds with 10.2(w) x 7(d) x 0.5(h)-inches dimensions.

Acer has also preloaded apps like Google Books (which recently became available in Canada), and Zinio.  Iconia Tab has been priced at $199.99 on select 3-year plans.
