Nook Color 2 aka Nook Tablet Specifications leaked, ready to take on Kindle Fire

With days to official Barnes & Noble Nook press event, folks over Engadget have got their hands on the alleged specifications of this second generation Nook Tablet, yes it is being called Nook Tablet rather than Nook Color 2. As expected, it features significant improvements over the original.

B&N Nook Tablet will be just 12.19 mm thick, will weigh just 400 grams. Cosmetically, it will look pretty much same as the original, but the main improvements are in processor and RAM, it will have 1.2GHz TI OMAP4 processor and 1GB RAM.

Nook Tablet will have come with a 7 inch Vividview color touchscreen with 1024X600 resolution along with 16GB Internal memory and microSD support.

Release & Availability: Barnes &Noble is going to official announce it on November 7, pre-orders will also start the same day, followed by a November 16th release date.

Price: Nook Tablet will cost $249, odd $50 more than the competing Kindle Amazon Fire.
