Sony Google TV gets Android 3.1 update

As promised, Sony has started rolling out Android 3.1 update for Google TV hardware. The roll-out seems to have started yesterday in phases.  This update, which is also known as Google TV 2.0, brings UI improvements along with Android Market support to the TV devices.

Update Change-log:

  • Simpler user interface with customizable home screen
  • Easier Content discovery
  • Improved YouTube experience
  • And Apps, Market support.

Update is being pushed over-the-air and your Sony Google TV or Blu-Ray player will soon get the notification to download the update.

On the other hand, Logitech Revue is likely to receive the same update next week.
