More signs point to Google’s upcoming music store

Advertisements

It seems music purchases are going to become a reality in Android Market very soon. The mobile landing page of music.google.com is suggesting the same. Rumors of about a possible Google music store launch have been rife for quite some time but there has been no official confirmations or any major leaks, but one doesn’t need more than the official landing page as a proof of this music store’s existence.

Earlier reports have suggested that Google will give users an option to share the purchased music with friends and family for a limited time via Google+. This store will be deeply integrated with Google’s latest attempt at social.

Google’s Music (Beta), which was launched five months ago, works as a cloud based locker right now but with the upcoming Music purchases, it might become a decent alternative to Apple’s iTunes. According to reports till, EMI and Universal Music are on-board with Google, but neither Sony nor Warner is expected to be a part of this store.
