Onida unveils India’s first Android powered 3D TV ‘iTube’

Onida has become the first TV brand in India to release a 3D smart TV running on Android. Launched under the series iTube, its pricing starts INR 48,000 (for 32 inch) and goes upto INR 68,990.

Allowing access to thousands of apps from Android Market, iTube will also give you a total of 70MB internal memory along with one TB of external memory support. Internet connectivity is possible via Wi-Fi as well as Ethernet port. Other features of the TV include 3 USB ports, Full HD, 2D to 3D conversion and 3D glasses.

The initial information suggest that you will be able to download apps in only internal memory, which will drastically reduce the app library because internal storage in only 70MB.

iTube range is being released in Tamilnadu first and will follow other states later. One more thing, do not confuse it for Google TV, because it is not. It is a simple Smart TV running on Android.
