Ice Cream Sandwich, Nexus Prime announcements on Oct 11?

Advertisements

We all are waiting eagerly for Google’s next Android release – Ice Cream Sandwich and to our surprise Samsung just started sending invites for its unpacked event scheduled on October 11. This particular event is being organized in partnership with Google, aptly called as Google Episode.

As you can see invites states that “Join Us at Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011to get a look at what’s new from Android’, which is clear indication towards the ICS announcement.

We will also see a Nexus device (probably Nexus Prime) announcement from Samsung; otherwise there is no meaning of Samsung being present at the event. It is likely that Google and Samsung will announce ICS and next Nexus phone with pre-order starting the same day and shipping in November.

To add more credibility to all the these theories, this event will be live streamed on official Android Youtube account at – http://www.youtube.com/android. Why would Google stream a Samsung event at official Android channel unless it is indeed an ICS announcement?
