We have just received a tip in our inbox suggesting that Samsung India is planning to release Galaxy R in the country next month along with its Bada phone Wave 3.  It is expected to be priced around INR 23,000.

Samsung is also reportedly clearing out Nexus S stocks for this launch and it has already disappeared from most of the online stores, including Flipkart which states it as “Permanently Discontinued”. Well, that does seem to suggest an upcoming launch.

Samsung Galaxy R was first announced in July and is a toned down version of Galaxy S II with features like 1 GHz dual core processor, 4.19 inch Super Clear LCD, Android 2.3 with Touchwiz 4.0 and 5MP primary camera.

We were not able to independently verify the claims of our tipster, but the launch timing seems to be going very well with previous reports.

Thanks Vivek
